Being active on social media is a great way to promote your business. In order to generate more sales for your business, you have to get ready and think beyond just posting on your social media. You need to step up your game in your webpage, customer incentive, design, analytics; and that’s just to name a few.
It might seem intimidating, but actually there are many ways to make your targeted audience click ‘add to cart’ and ‘checkout’ button instead of just scrolling through your product or service. We have gathered some tips, tricks and ideas on how to increase your social media conversion rate. Let’s break it down.
1. Utilise ‘Product Tags’ feature on Instagram
This feature has been around since Fall 2017. Now it’s not only people or other users we can tag. We can tag products as well! Using this feature requires connecting it to your Facebook business account and a couple other simple steps. By publishing specific products and giving your audience easy access to look at the info and buy it, it will increase the likeliness of them adding the products to their basket.
2. Be consistent with your branding
When you have consistent branding, people will remember who you are and what your brand is. This will not only drive users to follow you for that aesthetically pleasing post feels, but also enticing posts will drive people to check out your products or services. 3. Have a landing page
The name is pretty much self explanatory. A landing page is a designated page where your audience will click through social media ads or marketing emails or promotions. 4. Make sure your site is mobile friendly
The number of sales being made through smartphones kept increasing throughout the years. Though desktop still remains being the highest ‘sales device’ compared to smartphones or tablets. Not only your followers are spreading the word about your business to their friends and fam, having real people (not influencers) promote your business increases the credibility of your products or services. To put it simply, if people see other people using your products/services, they will trust you.
6. Give incentives to your followers
Relating heavily to the previous point, a great way to get user generated content is through incentives. One idea is to hold a giveaway to your products/services when they follow, post original content which includes your business (or repost your content) and tag you and their friends. Or you could even offer exclusive offers when they subscribe to your emailing list.
7. Call To Action to actually make them take an action

8. Perform A/B testing and analyse
